I just read about Lesley's passing in my Chatham Bulletin. How very sorry I am to hear about this wonderful person leaving this earth. I can still see Leslie walking around the campus, always smiling...My thoughts are with you and your family.
Andrea J. Chatham '84

Nick, I look in on your thoughts from time to time and just saw the postings on your sister's passing . So sorry to hear about this. Your father's poem is touching and so are your reflections. I hope your grief is eased as she would wish. Best wishes.

Jill & Craig - It's good to hear from you. If you ever have some time when you'll be in the South Bay, let's get coffee or something.

Sorry to hear Nick, I can feel her hugs all the way here on the coast. And your father is quite the poet. Thanks for sharing.

Nick,
Sorry for your loss. I will remember to throw in some extra hugs in the future, never too many of those. One big one for you.

Nick, thank you for posting this. It is an important and painful and difficult post, and I hope it will remain here. People need to see that these are real people. Real human beings with feelings, opinions, problems, strengths, ideas ... not statistics. Whether they were lost to insane violence (as my son), a third-world healthcare system in America (as your sister) or earthquakes or tsunamis, they are real and they should not be overlooked or brushed aside. Your blog is on social issues and concerns, and what could possibly be of greater social importance than the loss of one who care for society?
